Cooking Cooking and More Cooking!

Sea Food Pasta, Bruchetta, Chocolate Cheesecake, Chicken Castellina, and Tiramasu!
Can you tell this was Italian night?

I have decided it was nothing short of brilliant to start a Gourmet Cooking Group. We have been able to try some of the most delicious dishes, and have been having so much fun learning to cook new things. Our group is full of wonderful personalities which makes it all the more fun to do this!

Joshua's 6th birthday!

Joshua has his 6th birthday party at Swing Around Fun Town with some of his closest friends! They rode, go-carts, bumper boats, & played put-put golf, & arcade games!

Fourth of July/ Grandpa's 90th Birthday

We traveled to NE over the 4th of July weekend for Grandpa Elliott's 90th birthday party! There were lots of fireworks, & a professional photographer
to capture all the family
together. The kids enjoyed
seeing all their cousins, & getting
donoughts at Grandma & Grandpa's house!

Christmas 2009

Wow! It has been a very long time since I blogged. Guess we've been a little busy. I've decided to back up and post Christmas pictures. Maybe because it's already on my mind. Since it's only June I realize how crazy this is, but it's my favorite time of year!
We usually have 4 Christmas celebrations that include friends, both of our families, and our Christmas day celebration with our children. We were blessed to have John's aunt and uncle make a trip to St. Louis this year to celebrate with us and his sibblings. Uncle Jonathan is the designated photographer. We always get wonderful pictures when he comes! Our family continued traditions of baking cookies, the santa cookies being the newest addition, having a birthday cake for Jesus, reading the Christmas story, making ornaments, opening new pajamas on Christmas eve, and we added the new tradition of singing Christmas songs. Needless to say we celebrated the entire month of December!

One Week Old

We are enjoying our baby boy at home now. He was diagnosed with jaundice soon after we left the hospital and had to lay in a bili bed for a couple days at home, but is now doing fine. Joshua and Benjamin are taking extra good care of him. They try to help mommy with the baby as much as possible.

September 3, 2008 Baby Isaac has arrived!

Isaac Matthew Elliott arrived September 3rd, 2008 just before 7pm. He weighed 8lb 12oz, and was 21 1/4 inches long. He was welcomed by his mommy, daddy, auntie, brothers, and grandma & grandpa Elliott! After being told that the shots I was getting would last through 37 weeks, I ended up being induced on my due date. After the nurse broke the water it was a pretty quick delivery. Isaac was/ is perfectly healthy just like we prayed he would be!
