One Week Old

We are enjoying our baby boy at home now. He was diagnosed with jaundice soon after we left the hospital and had to lay in a bili bed for a couple days at home, but is now doing fine. Joshua and Benjamin are taking extra good care of him. They try to help mommy with the baby as much as possible.

September 3, 2008 Baby Isaac has arrived!

Isaac Matthew Elliott arrived September 3rd, 2008 just before 7pm. He weighed 8lb 12oz, and was 21 1/4 inches long. He was welcomed by his mommy, daddy, auntie, brothers, and grandma & grandpa Elliott! After being told that the shots I was getting would last through 37 weeks, I ended up being induced on my due date. After the nurse broke the water it was a pretty quick delivery. Isaac was/ is perfectly healthy just like we prayed he would be!

Happy 3rd Birthday Benjamin!

We celebrated Benjamin's 3rd birthday on August 30th! Daddy made him a special breakfast, and then we gave him presents to open with us. We joined grandma and grandpa Elliott and aunt La La for lunch at Woodys where there were more presents, pizza, and lots of fun on the play equipment. We had another party one week later with the rest of our family and Jon & Elissa!

We're ready!

We have officially finished all of the top items on our to do list before the arrival of baby #3! Joshua and Benjamin got a new bunk bed. My favorite thing about this is that they can't wait to go to bed now! Joshua told us tonight that he needed to get a long long long rest. I think it has something to do with his cool new star canopy on the top bunk. Baby Isaac got a new wood laminate floor, and a new mural in his room. I'm thinking this is my favorite room in our house now. This room served as inspiration for another long list to be completed at another time by John. When you start fixing things you just can't help but think of all the other stuff that needs to be fixed. I'm officially 37 weeks as of tomorrow morning. I've been feeling some Braxton Hicks contractions off and on today and yesterday, so we'll see how much longer this little guy waits. I personally don't think it will be much longer at all.

Cardinals Double Date!

We've been keeping busy this summer, with all our extra family around to help with the boys. John and I were able to escape for an evening Cardinals game, which they won, with Steve and Nedra! John got a nice picture of Albert Pueols hitting a home run.

Happy 4th Birthday Joshua (May 2008)

The end of May marked Joshua's 4th birthday. He celebrated with a dinosaur party with family, and our neighbors (adopted family). His big present this year was a bicycle, which he currently won't ride unless he's wearing his helmet and all his pads.
We had a fun day with all the cool gifts to play with, lots of new Imaginext dinosaurs, transformers, games, etc.. Most of all we had fun with our family!

Gulf Shores, AL entertainment

On our vacation to Gulf Shores, AL we found plenty to do! We spent our second night at Lulu's resturaunt. They had outdoor volleyball, a sand hill with buckets and shovels for the kids to play with, as well as a water play area, and live music. It was located at a marina. The food was good and the entertainment was great! The third night we checked out another famous place called Calypso Joes, also located at a marina. We ate outdoors and enjoyed some great Cuban food. Our last night we went on a private dolphin cruise with Captain Igore. He took us out on the bay and we were able to see lots of dolphins, mostly in groups. There was even a mom with her baby out there. The boat ride was very relaxing.

Gulf Shores, AL at the beach

These pictures were taken at the ocean in Gulf Shores, AL on our vacation over Memorial Day weekend with John's parents. We took off on Thursday morning and got to our condo at 9:00pm. Friday morning we headed off to the beach. John and the kids flew kites. We all waded in the water and played in the waves. Swimming was off limits for the first couple days because of the riptides, but by Sunday we were riding the waves. The kids had fun digging for sand crabs and thanks to grandpa actually found a couple of them. They also enjoyed collecting sea shells and knocking down grandpa's sand castle.

Boys will be boys

These pictures are from April when John' s aunt and uncle came to visit. Uncle Jonathan took these candid shots of the kids, mostly outdoors. They were so cute I thought I'd post them!
