Gulf Shores, AL entertainment

On our vacation to Gulf Shores, AL we found plenty to do! We spent our second night at Lulu's resturaunt. They had outdoor volleyball, a sand hill with buckets and shovels for the kids to play with, as well as a water play area, and live music. It was located at a marina. The food was good and the entertainment was great! The third night we checked out another famous place called Calypso Joes, also located at a marina. We ate outdoors and enjoyed some great Cuban food. Our last night we went on a private dolphin cruise with Captain Igore. He took us out on the bay and we were able to see lots of dolphins, mostly in groups. There was even a mom with her baby out there. The boat ride was very relaxing.

Gulf Shores, AL at the beach

These pictures were taken at the ocean in Gulf Shores, AL on our vacation over Memorial Day weekend with John's parents. We took off on Thursday morning and got to our condo at 9:00pm. Friday morning we headed off to the beach. John and the kids flew kites. We all waded in the water and played in the waves. Swimming was off limits for the first couple days because of the riptides, but by Sunday we were riding the waves. The kids had fun digging for sand crabs and thanks to grandpa actually found a couple of them. They also enjoyed collecting sea shells and knocking down grandpa's sand castle.

Boys will be boys

These pictures are from April when John' s aunt and uncle came to visit. Uncle Jonathan took these candid shots of the kids, mostly outdoors. They were so cute I thought I'd post them!

First Blog- Dad's Graduation

Thought I'd start one of these to keep family and friends updated on Elliott family life.

We had the privilege of all traveling to Springfield, MO the beginning of May for Dad Elliottt's graduation from AGTS. He received his Doctorate! Grandpa & Gradma Elliott, Uncle Ron, aunt Retha, John & I, Paul's family, and Joel & Heather were all able to be there. We are so proud of you dad!
